This Opel Flextreme has left me speechless. All you need to do is watch this spectacular video. The future is here, an ecological car that incorporates a set of Segways in the bottom of the trunk.

This car was one of the stars in the last Automobile Salon Show in Frankfurt. Why? Let’s see could it be because of its…futuristic design, glass roof, touch screens and way too many information panels.. 

Its electric motor plugs in directly to a socket and allows you to recharge your own gadgets.

If all this wasn’t enough, it doesn’t have rear-view mirrors, because its function is taken care of by the screen under the windshield.

It also doesn’t have gears, due to the Fact you can change gears through the touch tone screen in the interior in the same place where you can change the car temperature and control the GPS.

To charge the motor all you need to do is plug it in, knowing that you will have 55 kilometres in three hours of charge.

During these first kilometres the Flextreme will not emit any toxic gasses that contaminate the atmosphere. The motor a Diesel of 26.5 litters is not what activates the tire movement. Its function is to generate energy to recharge the electric motor. This way you will have a charge of a total of 775 kilometres without having to fill in the tank.

The Flextreme reaches easily 160 Km/h, going 0 10 100 in less that 10 seconds. Are you ready for the future?

As you all know, Opel has given the head to Vectra and will substitute it by the Insignia, a model that will be presented in the next London auto show.

This vehicle will be very similar to the Opel GTC Concept although it will adopt a new frame to the Insignia
