
Citroën has closed the 2007 year as the leader in the Spanish market for sales, with 154,532 cars and SUV´s sold between January and December, which represents a setback of 2% in comparison to 2006, meanwhile the Megane model from Renault was the most sold vehicle at 84,985.
The car brand with the second number of sale volume in Spain in 2007 was Renault, they commercialized 146,466 units, which is actualy a 4.4% decrease, and in third place was Seat, with 140,069 units, a 3.7% less, the fourth ws Ford with 139,822 units (-2.3%) and the fifth was Peugeot, iwith 131,220 units (-5.4%).
The others on the list were Opel with 122,261 units, which is a decrease of 7.5%, Volkswagen with 116,919 units,a 2% decrease, Toyota with 81,780 units a 1.5% decrease, Audi with 60,258 units, 9.9% more and BMW with 58,777 units a 10.1% increase.
In regard to sale models, the Renault Mégane again led the Spanish market with 84,985 units sold during the past year, while the second best-selling car was the Ford Focus, with 77,799 units, followed by the Citroen C4 , with 72,043 units, Seat Ibiza, with 55,119 units and the Peugeot 207, with 52,797 units.
