Under the moon and stars with a Peugeot 307 Cabrio

peugeot-307-cabrio.jpg

Now that the good weather is here I propose a unique experience for one of your summer trips. I suggest you try the sensation of traveling in a Peugeot 307 Cabrio. It’s not necessary to run out and buy the car all you need to do is rent one so you can start to feel the wind in your hair and the luxury of driving free.

It has a removable top that is down in just 25 seconds. A sensation of liberty that has no limits. Once the top is down there is no stopping you and all the adventures you can have.

Aside from being a beautiful this car is also very safe. It has a reinforced structure and is very impact resistant. It includes front and adaptive airbags, lateral head positioning, 3 point harness seatbelts, and the Isofix standard for baby seats. Not to mention the ABS and ESP break system that will help you stop at once in an emergency. All you need for a weekend of fun.

Navarra route

sierra-codes.jpg

Today I’m going to propose a car route through Navarra, an autonomous community with many possibilities. In concrete we first visit the Sierra de Codés. From there we run through various places until we get to  la ribera del Ebro. The starting place has an altitude of about 1,400 meters, and from here you will have the opportunity to see such beautiful views of the mountains and beyond.

It is best to start our itinerancy in the Santuario de Codés and visit the small villages there such as del Río, Azuelo and Aguilar de Codés, and keep traveling east. Once in the last city you should pass through la sierra de Cantabria heading southward where you will make stops in  Aras y Viana. You then should head in the Ebro until you get to Mendavia.

Aside from different contrast in the sights you will see , this route is barely 40 minutes which will allow us to enjoy every moment. And don’t forget to try the food I this region which is famous for its game and fish of the area.

Travel Alicante Stockholm

ryanair.jpg

The Altet airport in Alicante will have a new destination starting this October 2007. The low cost airlines Ryanair has announced a new route between the Alicante and Stockholm airport. The ticket sales have already begun although the flights will not take place until the 10th of October when Ryanair will place its Boeing 737-800 planes in Stockholm.

At 18 euros a ticket, it’s a steal, I plan to reserve tickets right away before the price goes up.

Alicante  is slowly becoming one with the most visitors in Spain. It is an excellent point of departure to get to know other cities, aside from being a very interesting city itself.  Arriving to Alicante and renting a car is easy and from there you can go on your journey to find the sun, beach and great food. A fun time always awaits you in Alicante and from here you know you can get to almost anywhere.

A seven inch navegator

navegador-mio.jpg

I just read in one of the best gadgets for cars blogs xataka, that the best GPS navigator in the market is only 7 inches long. It is the Mio C517 GPS system, a technical genius that includes a USB cable connection, audio output, multimedia reproduction and voice activation. All this in only 22 millimeters of width and a weight of 400 grams.

This gadget will provide us with a much better comfort when we need to design out trip route, because it offers us a better resolution map. The only problem is its size, we will have to be more alert when looking at it.

It is available for 500 euros in Korea, but I’m sure it will not take long to travel its way over here (I’m sure it will be able to find its way)

Oldest wine in Spain

vino-de-jerez.jpg

If you decide to travel to Andalucía keep in mind that the Andalucía wines have the oldest denomination origin in all of Spain, and that says a lot. The DO Malaga was born in 1933 and was the fist to be recognized in our country. That same year the DO Jerez-Xérès-Sharry, was also recognized and in 1954 the DO Montilla-Moriles.

These ancient wines are connected by the ancestral culture of Andalucía, a history that is still rich this day an age. That is why the wine is a great companion to the tapas ritual and together they form one of the most transcendental gastronomical dimension. Don’t miss the opportunity to go on a getaway through these lands and enjoy. Every time I’m in this part of the world I enjoy the food and specially wine to the fullest.

Andalucía keeps producing excellent wines, they are unique and singular in their taste, always keeping their Spanish heritage. They are generous in their alcohol but also delicate, vigorous and full of different blends. Their enormous diversity within their own style is one the actual characteristic in its production that unites finos, manzanillas, amontillados, olorosos, palo cortado, dulces and moscateles.

Welcome 3D

qdq.jpg

The GPS and the navigating systems are two applications that have revolutionized the way we travel. So, now that we are hooked and can’t live without these gadgets we need to make sure we are up to date, and the latest in this technology field in the #D versions of navigation

Actually there are companies that have 3D maps that are even more real than the proper buildings and objects they are showing. These maps are already very frequent in Japan and Europe is also getting on the bandwagon.

Very soon we will be able to have tridimensional personal navigational systems.. In time, in time…
